Learning Experience-Week2

Hi Everyone,
Week 2 is an awesome learning experience.Using new web exploring tips paved the way to bring about a new dimension in my teaching career.I tried using Noodle Tools and found it very fruitful. I was amazed by the endless list. However I was attracted especially by two search cites.I love to start with. "sweetsearch" on www.sweetsearch.com and" social issues" on www.multcolib.org/homework/sochc.html.

Using ABCD objectives is another achievement in my teaching career. It provided with me a clear picture how the learning objectives should be  written.I think everything depends on the audience. This model will pave the way to me to act with vision.and wisdom.
All these were possible because of Courtney and the teammates.
Let me thank all of you for your support.

Best regards
,Disna

  1. Hi Disna,
This is Mahesh from India. I went through your post and am glad to know about your experience after using Noodle Tools. When we begin to search for resources on the Net and open a number of sites, all seem to be useful and informative. After a thorough exposure, we confine to a few and reject quite a number of websites.Hope our local needs prompt us to make this choice. You can make use of BBC,British Council,You Tube, etc. to find out a number of audio and video materials on a given topic, download and save in separate files to use in future for teaching and research.Best wishes.

  2. Hi Disna,

The second week was very productive! I also opened for myself new search engines like Social Issues, I Seek Education, and many others. I came with this information to my students and they were delighted to get information about search engines as they have to write course papers and they need reliable sources.

I told them about Delicious too and explained the advantages. So when they see me in the class they ask me what new information I found out from Courtney and my colleagues.

    Best wishes,
    Ina

  3. Hi Disna,
I am learning to surf around different blogs.I have not yet made comments on all the blogs.I wish I could. In the 2nd week of our web skills course we really did many things. One thing I would like to confess is that prior to my introduction to Noodle Tools I knew about a limited number of internet resources.Just to give you an example:I did not know there were other web searching sites too apart from Google.I also didn't know how to insert hyperlinks in my text.
Now the third week have come to a close. We all are penning down the reflections of the 3rd week. The most important thing about the assisgnments orf the 3rd week is that I had a chance to read a number of published research project reports. This has removed many ambiguities regarding my final project.
I am going to post my reflections on my blog shortly.I'd like to invite you to visit my delicious account at

  4. Hi Disna,
It seems you too are busy like me. You have not provided any details about you on the blog. Also, you couldn't manage to post Reflections of 3rd week.

I have decided to visit each and every blog of my course buddies. Is it a socially appropriate word-buddy?
I'll soon be returning to your blog. Feel free to visit mine at

. Do you know about Students Quality Circles. Sri Lanks and Pakistan along with India and many others are cooperating to introduce this wonderful idea across the globe.
